This story explores the myths and misconceptions around financial strain and poverty through Joanne’s experience of working in a community-based organization and the healthcare system. It explores the lessons learned from a “poverty simulation” with her community and Primary Care Network and explains why, “the best healthcare in the world would not help us if we were living with financial strain.”
